Privacy Policy for Tarsikh

Last Updated: June 16, 2026

The Tarsikh application is designed to support students and memorizers of the Quran (*Hafidh*) in preserving and consolidating their learning over the long term. We place a fundamental importance on protecting the privacy of our users.

In accordance with Google Play's requirements regarding user data transparency and access restrictions on sensitive information, this policy comprehensively describes how our application processes, stores, and protects your information.

1. Developer Information and Contact

The Tarsikh application is developed and operated by the developer registered under the following details:

  • Google Play Developer Name: @dam
  • Privacy Contact Email: contact@tarsikh.com

2. No User Account or Credentials

  • No Account Required: The application does not offer account creation, email registration, password setup, or third-party authentication.
  • Anonymous and Immediate Access: You can use all the application's features immediately upon installation without providing any identification data.

3. Data Collection and Processing

A. Locally Stored Data (On Your Device)

The application is designed to operate entirely offline. All learning progress data is stored exclusively in a local database (SQLite) on your device (progress settings, training history, and activity statistics).

This data remains strictly on your device. It is not transmitted automatically or in the background to our servers or any third parties.

B. Optional and Anonymous Scientific Research Data

Tarsikh offers an optional contribution program for scientific research. If you choose to participate, a unique, anonymous device identifier (UUID) is generated locally to link your learning data with a voluntary demographic questionnaire on our website.

No personally identifiable information is collected, requested, or associated with this questionnaire or your UUID.

4. Android Permissions and Sensitive APIs

To minimize exposure of device data, Tarsikh does not request or use any sensitive access permissions (such as location, contacts, external storage, media files, or body sensors).

5. Data Security

Any optional scientific research data transmitted via the official website is encrypted in transit using standard modern security protocols (HTTPS / TLS). The application's internal database is isolated within the application sandbox.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Uninstalling the Tarsikh application or clearing its data/cache via Android's system settings will permanently and immediately delete all your progress and learning history from your device.

6.1 How to Request Data Deletion (Data Deletion Procedure)

If you wish to delete your data, please follow these procedures:

  • Local Data: You can permanently delete all your local learning progress and history at any time by uninstalling the application or clearing its cache and storage via Android's system settings.
  • Research Data: If you participated in our optional scientific study and wish to request the deletion of the anonymous research data linked to your device, please send an email to contact@tarsikh.com containing your Anonymous Identifier (UUID). We will delete your record from our research database within 30 days.

7. Third-Party Code and Advertisements

Tarsikh is free from any form of ad monetization and contains no behavioral analysis tools or commercial background trackers. It uses only official native Capacitor plugins.

8. International Compliance (GDPR)

The processing of your data is based solely on your explicit consent. Tarsikh does not transfer personal data to third countries, as the complete anonymization of the scientific contribution excludes it from the definition of "personal data" under the GDPR.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect technical adjustments. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

10. Consent

By installing and using the Tarsikh application, you agree to the terms of this privacy policy.
